Membrane-based Digital RS485 Dissolved Oxygen Sensor

>>Technical Parameter

The AG4733D dissolved oxygen electrode employs platinum (Pt) as the cathode, Ag/AgCl as the anode, with 0.1M potassium chloride (KCl) as the electrolyte, and utilizes a silicone rubber permeable membrane as the oxygen diffusion layer. During measurement, a 0.68V polarization voltage is applied between the anode and cathode. Oxygen permeates through the membrane and is consumed at the cathode, with the amount of oxygen passing through the membrane being proportional to the dissolved oxygen concentration in water. Consequently, the limiting diffusion current between the electrodes correlates directly with the dissolved oxygen concentration. The instrument detects this current and converts it into oxygen concentration through computational processing. Simultaneously, a thermistor monitors the solution temperature to provide temperature compensation for the oxygen concentration.

The electrode reactions are as follows:
Cathode (Pt):‌ O₂ + 2H₂O + 4e⁻ → 4OH⁻
Anode (Ag):‌ 4Ag + 4Cl⁻ → 4AgCl + 4e⁻
